Trying to love when it feels like Hate won

I’m not going to lie. Since the results of Tuesday’s election it’s been so hard to smile, think positive, and encourage others. It’s sad to feel like you’re going to have force to beΒ  happy until you realize this is life.

I’m not going to go on and on and say how I’m just going to smile through it, because I’m not. There’s going to be a lot of sadness and anger. And we have to work through that first before we can began to just jump on board with how this new America is.

It’s going toΒ  be tough, but like my quote says above chaos always precedes real change. I can’t accept that the world is full of this much hate. So I will stand on the side of love. I’m not perfect. And I will slip up, but I’m going to try and that’s all I can do.

  1. I am Canadian and I feel your pain over the realization that there is so much more hate in this world than I previously thought existed. That said, I can only imagine the depth of yours at having to live with this realization within your country.

Standing on the side of love IS the only answer and I hope you know that there are many others standing beside you in that love. Some days are going to be harder than others but approaching those days with the mindset and attitude that you have will speak volumes about you and less about the others who choose to live their lives negatively and in hate.

Your quote is perfect. Thank you for sharing it. πŸ™‚

    1. thank you so much for commenting. I started to cry while reading because just in your kind words I realized that love is too strong to be ignored.
