Happy Hump Day beautiful people! I hope you all survived the 2018 midterms and you’re still trying to spread your PositiviTea around! I know I am. I’m so happy election season is over, but we still have to continue the work to make this world a better place. Hopefully today’s post can help you feel motivated to keep pushing for that change.
The first part of the quote says, “Your talent determines what you can do.” We all have many things that we’re very good at. Some are great artists. Some are amazing builders. You may be a treat teacher. Each of us has a talent deep inside of us just waiting to come out if it hasn’t revealed itself already. Do you know what yours is?
But pay close attention to the second sentence in this quote. “Your motivation determines how much you are willing to do.” You may have the talent to build a great home. You may have the talent to sing Beyonce under the table. You may even have the leadership to lead a great country. But if you don’t have the motivation, I’m sorry to say that you will not get far. I’ve seen so many people who could make such a huge impact in the world with what they can do, but because they aren’t motivated, they don’t get anywhere.
Lastly, what is your attitude like? That’s the last and biggest piece of this quote. Say you have the talent, and the motivation, but your attitude is lacking? What happens then? How far will you get? I’m afraid you still won’t get far. You have to have a good attitude to succeed and allow good things to come your way. You can’t be a negative person and expect for things to fall in your lap or for people to like, or want to work with you.
So do you have all of these elements right now? Do you have two? What about one? If you have none, you’ve got some work to do. If you have at least two, I’d say you’re on the right track. If you have all three, then definitely keep it up. If you have one or none, I want to challenge you to do a self-evaluation and see what you need to work on to be successful. Do that, and I’m sure your life will change! Have a great day everyone, and don’t forget to spread some PositiviTea!
