Quote of the Day – What do you choose?

It’s hump day my beautiful people!! The last Wednesday before Christmas! Are you ready? Hopefully you are trying to end this week on a high note and looking forward to having a nice vacation. I know I am! I know around this time of year it can be hard to focus on tasks at work when we’d rather be spending time with family and friends. But let me be one of the first to let you know that better days are coming!

So this week’s post? What do you choose? It’s an important question. As the new year approaches, it’s a great time to reflect on the year that’s almost over and see what you want to change or improve. Will you make changes or excuses? Excuses are definitely easier, but do you always want it to be easy? Are you growing when you make excuses? I think not. But with change, can also come growth and reward. Will you excel or will you compete? Some may ask, “Ashley what’s wrong with competition?”. My answer would be, absolutely nothing. However most people who excel don’t have to worry about the competition because they’re too focused on their own goals and what they’re accomplishing themselves. If they happen to pass up their competitors they will notice, but it won’t consume them. Will that be your choice? Or what about listening to the random opinions of others? That could include family, friends, and strangers. Not to say that those people don’t give good advice, however, 90% of the time we know what the right decision is on our own. We just feel we need to get confirmation from our peers. Instead, we should trust our inner voice and be confident in that voice. Remember, no one knows yourself like you do.

Since this is the last post before Christmas, I want to take the time to wish each and every one of you a Happy Holidays! I hope you all get to take time to spend with loved ones and create new memories. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog! Enjoy your day, and don’t forget to spread some PositiviTea!
