Hello beautiful people! Happy Hump Day! You’re almost done with the work week which I hope has been a productive one so far! I was counting down the days to write this post! Not only is this a post to encourage and lift you up, but sometimes you also have to encourage yourself as well. That is definitely today’s post! So let’s jump right into it!
Some of our human features can be a little.. what’s the right word? Annoying. I’m speaking from experience that when I cry or get hurt, I feel like it’s the biggest inconvenience. That may seem a bit dramatic, but it’s the truth. I feel like I’m stronger that the pain, or that crying is just a weakness. I have to remind myself that crying is just a human feature that I have to accept about myself. Getting down sometimes is what humans do. It doesn’t mean that I’m not still strong. It doesn’t mean that I can’t pick myself back up and get back on track with what I was doing.
What I won’t do it is unpack my bags and have a nice pity party for myself. This is one party that I don’t need people to keep going. I need the drinks to stop flowing and the music to come to an immediate stop! Can you imagine a real life pity party? Talk about depressing. I imagine it would take place in a cowboy saloon. Slow drawn out banjo music. The bartender sliding you drink after drink even without you requesting one because they want you to stay in your sad mood. Doesn’t sound like fun does it? Nope not at all. So why do choose to stay down? Instead, try crying it out, yelling it out, talking it out, writing it out, or even just sitting it out for a short moment. Then refocus your mind to figure things out. You can only control what you can control. Some things you won’t be able to control, and you have to learn to be okay with that. Inhale count to 10 and let it go. Do that as many times as it takes until you are no longer worrying yourself with it.
I hope for the rest of the week you remember that even though you’re human and may get down, it doesn’t mean you have to stay down there. Have a great day and don’t forget to spread some PositiviTea!
