Happy Hump Day Beautiful People! I hope you all are having a great week so far! I can finally say that I’m having a great week! I think for so long, I was only able to say it’s been just okay. But this week is off to a great start and I’m looking forward to finishing it on a high note! So without wasting any time, I’m going to jump right into today’s PositiviTea!
What makes you happy? Is it your job? Your family? Your clothes? Or maybe it’s your sweet dog that’s just like family. I’m here to tell you that those things should not be in charge of keeping you happy. Actually, no thing, person, or place can truly make you happy. What if those things are gone. You can get fired from your job. All of your family can leave. Your clothes can be stolen. your dog can pass away to doggy heaven (yes I believe that’s a place). But what is the constant? You! You are the constant when all of those things that you hold to the high standard of keeping you happy are gone. So that means you have to be happy with yourself!
I know what you’re thinking. “All of those things make me happy with myself Ashley.” Not True! You’re more than your family, your job, and your fabulous clothes! Yes, I know you look fabulous, and I haven’t even seen you. You have to see the qualities that you have outside of those things. You’re positive for one, which is why you’re reading this blog post and telling all your friends to read it. *hint hint* So that’s one thing. I bet you’re courageous, strong, thoughtful, hard-working, and many many more. So do me a favor. Yes, this is a homework assignment. Write two lists. One list will be all of the things that you thought made you happy before reading this post. The second list will be all of the things about yourself that make you happy. I’ve always believed that if you can’t appreciate all the good things about yourself, then how can you expect others to not only see but appreciate those things as well! So there you have it! Be happy with who you are, and you’ll be happy for the rest of your life. Have a great day, and don’t forget to spread some PositiviTea!
