Quote of the day – Appreciate those who correct you

Happy Hump Day beautiful people! I know it’s been a couple of weeks since my last post, but I’ve had a lot going on. I’m sure you all understand what it’s like to get a little anxiety every now and then. During that time we have to pick and choose what we can handle and what we can’t. For me, I couldn’t handle being my best positive self when I was super stressed out about a move. But I digress. This post is not about how busy I’ve been or how much anxiety I’ve had over the past couple of weeks. This post is about something better!

How many times have you had a friend tell you to stop doing something because it was going to hurt you or cost you in the long run? Too many times to count right? Trust me. I know. But when we actually listen to them, we realize they’re correct and that they’re saving us. Take for instance the friend who told you not to go back to that partner that disrespected you over and over again. But you kept going back because for a little bit of time, you felt comfort. However, it wouldn’t last long, and the honeymoon would end shortly after it began. Your friend knew the signs and warned you over again. Finally you listened, and you stopped going back. You found not only someone who respected you, but you found your true strength that you never knew you had.

So I’m going to keep this short and sweet and tell you to don’t keep making the same mistakes. When your friends or family warn you and know that you’re about to get into trouble. “Listen, Linda, Listen!” You have to listen and appreciate them. You’ll be better off in the end! 😉 So I challenge you this week to not make the same mistake again, and as always don’t forget to spread a little PositiviTea!
