Quote of the day – It’s time to just be happy

Happy Hump day good people! In case you aren’t keeping track of the days of the week, it is in fact Wednesday, April 8th. For most of those in the United States, we’ve been in quarantine or some sort of state governed lock down for a little over a month. Whether, you’re home alone, with a pet, your kids, or spouse, etc., I know that this can be a difficult time. I just want to spread a little PosiviTea and hopefully change your way of thinking for a few minutes of the day. So let’s get into it.

This morning, the announcement was made that my choice for the President of the United States, Bernie Sanders, would be suspending his campaign. This came as a shock and very disappointing news to me to say the least. I know that some of you may not feel the same. But hearing this news on top of being locked in quarantine alone was just the icing on the cake for the feelings of content that I was having for the year 2020. I have to be honest that I’m still a little perturbed, but I quickly came to the realization that I can’t do anything about it. This is the world we’re living in and I can either accept it and make the most of it, or I can complain and be miserable, making those around me miserable as well. Since I just can’t see myself going with the latter, I’m choosing to accept and make the most of it. In other words, I said this morning, “It’s time to just be happy.”

Just like the quote also says, “Being angry, sad, and overthinking it isn’t worth it anymore.” I’ve known for a long time that those feelings/emotions don’t do me any good. You may disagree. But for me, I don’t see them as productive. I can be angry for a little while to process what I’m thinking. However, I refuse to stay that way! I have to do something to get me out of that mood. So I may sing. I may have a few adult beverages. I may work on some goals that I’ve set out for myself and really put a plan into action. I also may just talk things through with friends or family. There are many ways to calm back down and try to get to a positive state of mind.

So I want to encourage each of you to find something or multiple things that will change your mood if you’re feeling down. We’re all in this together, and the only way we’re going to make it through, is by helping each other. Stay positive. Stay healthy. And don’t forget to spread some PositiviTea!
